🚗 **Important Changes to Car Driving Test Bookings – 2026 Update** 🚗
If you're planning to book or change your driving test this year, please take note of these important updates:
📅 From 31 March 2026
The number of times a learner driver can change their test will reduce from 6 changes to just 2.
What will count as changes? Changing the date or time, changing the test centre or
swapping your appointment with another learner driver who already has a test booked.
📅 From 12 May 2026
It will be against the law to book or change a driving test for someone else.
Only the candidate (or someone who knows a candidate that requires help) can book their driving test.
When booking a test, candidates must confirm that they:
✔️ Are booking only their own car driving test
✔️ Agree to new terms and conditions
The candidate won’t be able to complete the booking unless they tick the declaration box.
Driving instructors will no longer be able to book a test for their pupils, change a test or swap a test.
📅 From 9 June 2026
Test centre changes will be restricted to the 3 nearest centres to your originally booked test centre.
Please plan carefully when booking or changing your test to avoid disappointment.
